Question 1

How does OurVows work?

Accepted Answer

Describe your style and we'll shape a wedding website around it. Add your details, customise the blocks, and share it with your guests. It takes minutes, not days.

Question 2

Do I need any design experience?

Accepted Answer

None at all. OurVows is built for couples, not designers. If you can pick colours you like, you can build a beautiful site.

Question 3

How long does it take to set up my site?

Accepted Answer

Most couples have a site they're proud of within 15 minutes. You can keep refining it as your plans come together.

Question 4

Can I see an example before I start?

Accepted Answer

Sign up for free and explore the editor with no commitment. Your site isn't visible to anyone until you choose to share it.

Question 5

How do I invite my guests?

Accepted Answer

Add your guests to the guest list and share your website link. Each guest gets a personalised RSVP experience.

Question 6

Can guests RSVP to different events separately?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your wedding has multiple events (ceremony, reception, evening party), guests can respond to each one individually.

Question 7

How do meal choices and dietary needs work?

Accepted Answer

You set up your menu options and guests select their choices when they RSVP. Dietary requirements are captured automatically.

Question 8

Can I manage plus-ones and households?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Group guests into households so families can RSVP together, and control plus-one allowances per guest.

Question 9

Can I use my own domain name?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the Premium plan. Free sites use a yourname.ourvows.site subdomain.

Question 10

What can I customise?

Accepted Answer

Everything you see — colours, fonts, layout, spacing, images, and content. Your site is built from blocks you can arrange and style however you like.

Question 11

How do I add photos and a gallery?

Accepted Answer

Upload photos directly in the editor. The photo book feature lets your guests upload their own photos too.

Question 12

What happens to my site after the wedding?

Accepted Answer

It stays live for as long as you want. No expiry, no extra charges. It becomes a keepsake of your day.

Question 13

Who can see my wedding website?

Accepted Answer

Only people you share the link with. Your site isn't indexed by search engines by default.

Question 14

How is my data protected?

Accepted Answer

We use industry-standard encryption and store data securely in the UK. See our full privacy policy for details.

Question 15

Do you sell my information?

Accepted Answer

Never. Your data is yours. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running your wedding website.

Question 16

How do guest uploads and photos work?

Accepted Answer

Photos uploaded by guests are stored securely and only visible to you and your guests. You control the gallery at all times.

Question 17

Does OurVows use AI facial recognition or photo tagging?

Accepted Answer

No — and we never will. Your guests' biometric data is personal. Scanning faces without meaningful consent isn't something we're comfortable with, so we've made the deliberate choice not to offer it. Your photos stay exactly that: yours
